How to Avoid Attempted Fraud or Scams?

KoinWorks urges KoinWorks NEO users to be careful of individuals or parties acting on behalf of KoinWorks for personal gain.

Therefore, make sure to take the steps below to avoid harmful actions.


Keep Personal Data Safe

Security and convenience in providing services to users are KoinWorks top priorities.

Stay alert and do this to avoid fraudulent attempts from irresponsible parties:

  • Change Password or PIN periodically.
  • Don’t give your KoinWorks app password or pin to anyone
  • Ignore those who ask you to transfer funds from your KoinWorks account to other accounts, bank accounts, and so on
  • Do not create usernames, passwords, or PINs containing your name or date of birth, as it will be easy for others to guess
  • Don’t give your OTP code to anyone. Ignore those who ask you to make or approve any payments through the app.
  • Do not give the CVV number and expiry date on your NEO Card to anyone
  • Ignore messages on behalf of KoinWorks asking you to click on a link in SMS or WhatsApp
  • Ignore those who open deposit services via any social media (Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube)
  • Perform data cleaning, especially on financial applications. Even more, if you change your smartphones.
  • Use your NEO Card only at trusted merchants. Do not use your NEO Card for purchases or payments on suspicious sites (Black Market and others).

Perform Verification Action

If you receive an email, telephone, or SMS/Whatsapp claiming to be a KoinWorks party and asking you to complete some data, be sure to perform the following verification steps:

  • Check the phone number to make sure that it is an official number belonging to KoinWorks
  • If the number looks suspicious, immediately close or reject the request, then contact KoinCare customer service to make a complaint.
  • If the call is lost or missed, do not call the number again.
  • Do not click on any links sent via SMS, email, or WhatsApp.

When Personal Information Has Spread

If you suspect a leak of personal data, especially passwords or PINs, then take the steps below:

Immediately change your password or PIN.

Block your NEO Card via the KoinWorks NEO app as soon as possible.

Contact KoinCare customer service to block your NEO Account.

Important Note:

KoinCare customer service will ask several questions to verify the customer’s identity, such as:

  • Full name according to ID card
  • Date and Birth Place
  • Registered email or mobile number
  • Address on ID
  • KoinWorks user code
  • The remaining balance of the NEO Account, or NEO Card. 

KoinWorks NEVER asks for personal and confidential data such as PIN, password, OTP, up to CVV, and the validity period of the NEO Card.
